About Soldotna Animal Hospital
Soldotna Animal Hospital opened its doors in April 1999. Dr. Tim Bowser had long dreamed of living in Alaska and relocated from Florida to Soldotna, where he combined following that dream with his passion for veterinary medicine. Each and every one of our employees has joined our practice with excitement and enthusiasm. Many have stayed on with us over the years, helping to build a dynamic team of caring professionals. Our staff, with their steadfast loyalty and longevity, is the strength of Soldotna Animal Hospital’s practice.
Each February, we provide space for the Iditarod sled dog races, performing pre-race blood work and ECG exams for Iditarod competitors. Because there are only three locations in the state where this can be done, we are pleased to be able to provide these services.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality veterinary medical care in a friendly, relaxed setting. We hope you will refer your family and friends to our practice.
Soldotna Animal Hospital Policies
Walk-in clients are welcome — however, please understand that appointments are preferred. Emergency and urgent cases always receive top priority, followed by pet patients with previously scheduled appointments.
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
